Caring for Your Hat
Your hat will inevitably return from adventuring with traces of your wandering.
Keep your hat dry or use a hat protector to wear in the rain.
If your hat gets wet, shake off all excess water, let dry, and lightly brush clean.
Steam can be used by a milliner to professionally shape and clean your hat.
Remove dust and lint periodically to help avoid deterioration and soiling.
Using a soft bristle brush, brush the top and bottom of your hat in a counter-clockwise motion.
Lighter shade bristles are best for lighter colored hats and darker shade bristles are best for darker colored hats to avoid color transfer from bristles.
To help retain the shape of your hat, set it on its top or hang from a peg or hat hook in between adventures.
