Zürich Picking

Saturday's have rarely been a pick day for me. I make that exception in Zürich. Whether I am looking to restock HdN Vintage Selects or shopping for myself, I rarely miss the opportunity to spend an hour or two at the Xenix flea market. I never come up empty-handed, even when I haven't purchased anything.
Having spent a lot of my childhood grocery and goods shopping in the markets of Mexico with my mother and aunts, the familiarity of the crowds and chaos leaves me feeling a little more at home in a place that still feels very foreign to me. Navigating my way through tables and racks full of clothing, jewelry, old phone chargers, ceramic figurines, antique cameras, and anything else you can imagine someone wanting to get rid of, is an environment I know and reminds me that I can feel at home almost anywhere as long I can find a good market.
